The Church of San Francisco, linked to the old Convent of the Franciscan Fathers, is one of the historical religious complexes of Fuente Obejuna. Its origin is located in the early sixteenth century, at a time of important conventual presence and artistic development in the town.
The temple has a single nave covered by a barrel vault and divided into five sections, a sober and balanced structure typical of convent architecture. In its interior the rococo dressing room stands out especially, an element of great artistic value that contributes ornamental richness to the whole.
The visit allows to approach the Franciscan legacy of Fuente Obejuna and discover a space where history, religious architecture and artistic heritage are combined.
