The Bird Observatory “Llanos del Valle” is located near the town of Los Blázquez, in the area known as Los Llanos del Valle. It is located near the ornithological itinerary “Tierras de Avutardas”, within the environment of the ZEPA Alto Guadiato, an area of great value for the observation of steppe birds.

This area is especially interesting to contemplate such emblematic species as the Great Bustard, considered one of the zoological jewels of the region, and the Little Bustard, which uses these plains as a mating area. The open landscape, formed by cereal fields, leguminous plants and pastures with scattered holm oaks, creates an ideal habitat for the avifauna of the Guadiato Valley.
