The Copper Museum of Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo offers a journey through the importance of mining, metallurgy and the use of mineral resources in the territory. Its rooms show the historical relationship of the region with copper and other materials, from the first metallurgical uses to the Roman period.

Room 1 is dedicated to materials analyzed by metallographic studies and minerals from the area, showing the geological richness of the environment. Room 2 focuses on Protohistory, a key period for understanding the evolution of the first communities and their metalworking techniques. Room 3 deals with the Roman world, a period in which the exploitation of mineral resources acquired great relevance.

It is a particularly interesting visit for those who wish to discover the mining, archaeological and industrial past of Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo and the Guadiato Valley.
