Cordel Fountain

La Fuente del Cordel is located in the surroundings of the old N-432, going up the slope of La Matanza. From the top of the hill, the access continues to the left along the Cañada Real Soriana, descending a slope that leads to the hut where the fountain is located.

It is a fountain protected by a small modern brick kiosk. Inside, a spout pours water into a basin, keeping alive the traditional character of these supply points linked to the rural landscape of Villaharta.

The original spring is located next to the nearby Fuente de la Belleza, from where the water is conducted to this kiosk. Because of its location and its relationship with old cattle trails, the Fuente del Cordel is an interesting corner for those who wish to discover the natural and ethnographic heritage of the municipality.
